I’ll bet you’re one of those people who proudly supports his/her local businesses, schools and community issues. It’s my hope that we as a country will always do the same. Keep in it local in order to unify us a whole entity. I believe this is how America was built from the start.
In voicing the following video… the first in a series… I was able to express my support, and learn more about a great, long history of an area in Nashville that has been known for many years to most of us here as the Nashville Fairgrounds. The 117 acre flatland area in south west Nashville is currently in “proposal mode” with mainly two parties in dispute over just how to develop this aging property to it’s greatest, most beneficiary use for Nashville and the surrounding community.
The most recent use of the area has been by NASCAR; who has been running races there for many years and would like to see the track upgraded and restored to an all new, improved track and event facility. And continue on as one of the country’s premier NASCAR tracks.
However, another group, The Fairgrounds Preservation project, proposes the Cumberland Yard plan. Which would include 23 acres of park-like land, with affordable housing (600 residential units), an amphitheater, 75,000 sq ft commercial area for rehearsal space, recording studios, work spaces for songwriters and musicians and an EV straight line racing track.
Please enjoy this short 3 minute video, Nashville Fairgrounds Real History, (Produced by Sync Strategies, LLC) as I narrate this prenominal story to kick-off the promotional swing for the grand plan. Special thanks to Will Pinkston for his creative imagery!
